Phrase, Clause, and Sentence (with example)

WHAT IS PHRASE, CLAUSE AND SENTENCE             1.   Phrase A phrase is a group of words in a sentence that does NOT contain a subject and a verb. Example : 1. My head feels like gonna be explode because of trying to answer this difficult        question. 2. I will go to the national library tomorrow. 3 . A dog with a scar on the neck is mine. 4 . I saw Linda read the poem very beautifully. 5 . Raka is a diligent student in my class. 2.    Clause A clause is a group of words in a sentence which contains a subject and a verb.Unlike phrases, a clause can sometimes act as a sentence – this type of clause is called an independent clause.
